Ameinu Seeks Intern for the Fall
Ameinu a National progressive Zionist membership organization is growing in both size and programs and is dependent on energetic and passionate interns. Many of our interns have continued their connection to the pro-peace pro-Israel community some professionally others as volunteers. Ameinu Intern Fellowships are open to high school seniors, college and graduate students. Every intern is given responsibilities based on their abilities – with a target of growing their skills and experiences.
We are pleased to offer interesting, fulfilling and fun internships which provide practical work experience, a first hand view of a successful nonprofit organization and the opportunity to connect with individuals dedicated to a progressive vision for the Jewish community and the State of Israel. Specifically we are looking for someone who will be able to maintain the pulse and heartbeat of our organization – working with the daily nuts and bolts of administration as well as our Social Marketing Network – Facebook, Wikipedia, and Twitter. We can use your help. While you will provide some useful assistance to Ameinu, you will gain valuable on-the-job training that will assist you with your future career search.
We are offering opportunities throughout our organization for the Fall and year-round. We are flexible in hours and length of service but are looking for someone who is serious and wants to make a difference. As an Ameinu fellow you will gain valuable work experience in a fun, warm, relaxed and exciting atmosphere in the heart of Chelsea.
• All Ameinu fellows will work directly with executive staff, who will work with you to set you own personal goals for your internship experience and help you develop marketable skills for your future. Your supervisor will be your resource to make sure you are on track. Your supervisor will provide effective feedback and meaningful guidance. You and your supervisor create mutually agreed upon learning objectives.
• Ameinu interns may have the opportunity to work with our lay leadership and depending on scheduling be able to attend board and committee meetings. As well as public events and meetings with Israeli officials.
While this is an unpaid internship there is the possibility of some stipends depending on time commitment and responsibilities. Ameinu is happy to tailor your experience to meet the needs of your university to receive college credit for this work experience. Ameinu internship is accepted for service credit in New York high schools
