Help Stop the Anti-Israel Left’s Demonization of Israel

Categories: No Category

It started small and it seemed to pass,

  • An academic boycott in England
  • A call to sell off Caterpillar stock
  • The slander equating Israel with apartheid
  • The fiasco at the World Conference against Racism in Durban. Where Zionism was equated with racism

But truth be told these are not isolated incidents; they are the tip of the iceberg, an iceberg called BDS. Boycott Divestment and Sanctions. BDS is a loose international network waging a campaign to delegitimize Israel’s very existence, comprised of Arab and Islamic groups, so-called post-Zionist Jews and Israelis and elements of the radical European political left. Their call has even been adopted by some elements of the Christian Church. Using language that sounds liberal and claiming to seek justice they negate Israel’s right to exist and call for a combination of actions to cripple Israel. Pretending to be rooted in the movement that ended apartheid in South Africa they oppose the two-state solution hiding their ultimate goal, the destruction of the state of Israel.
Today the world-wide BDS movement is targeting campuses and liberal communities where they hope to create lobbies that will continue to influence university boards, trade unions and eventually governments.
Progressive Zionist groups like Ameinu are the best equipped to combat these attacks. We address the lies and accusations of those trying to delegitimize Israel using language and arguments that are understood by this audience.
Last month Ameinu put out a statement criticizing Israel Apartheid Week being held on college campuses, calling it harmful to peace and destructive to the joint business ventures being created between Israelis and Palestinians. We stated that only cooperation and progress on the ground combined with successful negotiations can bring the much needed peace to the region.

Join Ameinu for 2010 NOW to help combat these attacks!

Ameinu has successfully created materials to address the threat of delegitimization in the past, materials that have been distributed on college campuses and to international trade unions.
We are eager to continue the fight but we need to have your backing.
If you haven’t already joined Ameinu for 2010 please do so now.
If you have already joined then PLEASE consider sending in a donation dedicated to the struggle against BDS.

Ameinu is ready to label BDS for what it really stands for NOT Boycott – Divestment and Sanctions but Blacklist – Demonization and Slander.

To make the case strong, we need your backing. – Please join Ameinu today.

I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100 sure. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kudos
