Location: USA – NY Reports to: Ameinu Chief Operating Officer Supervises: No one Compensation: $30,000 Start Date: Immediate Hours: Business hours; Jewish Holidays off

Position Description:

Ameinu, the leading grassroots progressive Zionist membership organization in the United States and the U.S. affiliate of the World Labor Zionist Movement, is dedicated to promoting a negotiated peace between Israel, the Palestinians and the Arab states, and to social and economic justice for all in Israel and America.

Ameinu operates the Kibbutz Program Center, the premier North American representative for Israel experience programs on and off kibbutz. Ameinu offers a comfortable atmosphere with a dynamic and committed staff.

Administration:

  • General administrative responsibilities for multiple efforts. Includes general customer service, telephones, mail distribution, large mailings, editing newsletters, sending email blasts, etc…
  • Invoicing and income tracking
  • Membership and donation tracking
  • Email and phone correspondence
  • Kibbutz program participant processing and recruitment for Kibbutz Volunteering program
  • Organizing and taking minutes and bi-annual board meetings
  • Updating WordPress based website

Qualifications:

  • Strong WORD and EXCEL skills required, other Microsoft applications a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Israel and Kibbutz experience a plus
  • Strong written, proofreading and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree
